ACC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships - Day 3 Prelims Results

Tough Tough morning! Hokies will have 10 swims in tonight's finals session. For Commonwealth Clash tracking UVa will have 16 swims in tonight's final. Will be an uphill battle tonight for sure to keep pace in the overall standings.

100 Fly:
C Final -
19 Manoff, Philip FR VT 47.72 46.80

400 IM:
A Final -
7 Tornqvist, Samuel SO VT 3:49.32 3:46.74
B Final -
10 Myburgh, Keith FR VT 3:53.23 3:47.30
C Final -
17 Craddock, Michael SR VT 3:57.95 3:49.74
21 Dal Maso, Filip FR VT 3:52.66 3:50.88

Huge time drops accross the board and a nice haul of 4 Hokies in the finals. Lots of youth is a good sign for the future.

200 Free:
A Final -
4 Stone, Lane SO VT 1:35.28 1:34.01
B Final -
11 Szabo, Norbert SR VT 1:36.55 1:34.81
16 Ivanov, Antani FR VT NT 1:35.77

Lane unloaded a 1:32.47 in the 800 Free relay. I think hes saving his best for tonight and should be battling for another podium. Szabo and Ivanov continue their very strong meet with B finals.

100 Breast:
C Final -
22 Shi, Simon JR VT 55.52 54.40

Great swim from Simon dropping a second. Will be nice to see AJ Pouch join the program next year adding some breaststroke depth!

100 Back:
B Final -
15 Lamparella, Jacob SR VT 47.75 46.82

Hokies need to find a way to edge out UVa tonight in the 400 medley relay and individual battles within each final heat to keep pace.

Go Hokies!!
